Grapes

Bunch: Grapes grow in clusters called bunches. A good quality bunch should be well-filled with berries evenly distributed throughout. Loose or straggly bunches may indicate damage or improper handling.

Stem: The stem (rachis) of the bunch should be fresh, green, and firmly attached to the vine. A dry, brown, or brittle stem might indicate an older bunch.

Berry Size and Shape: Grapes come in various sizes and shapes, depending on the variety. They can be round, oval, or elongated. Commercially, berry size can range from very small (seedless varieties) to quite large (table grapes).

Color: Grapes come in a wide range of colors including green, red, black, purple, yellow, pink, and even brown. The color is not necessarily an indicator of ripeness, as some green varieties are meant to be eaten green.
